With various free translation sites such as Google Translate, Yahoo translate, Bing and many others, many are turning to these services online when it comes to translation. While we can all agree that it is readily available and not to mention, free, however, we strongly believe that one should not be too dependent on such sites.

The need for copywriting!

Sometimes, copywriting is needed to enhance your copy for many reasons. It can be for advertising, marketing and selling purposes.

The copywriter is responsible for telling the story, crafting it in such a way that it resonates with the viewer/reader ideally producing an emotional response. A little copywriting work can do the trick to get more attention for your copy that could potentially increase sales or clients for your company.

For individuals who are working on a copy for school work or projects, engaging in copywriting can also help produce a more interesting work that could potentially earn you an ‘A’ grade.

However, it is important to select the right kind of copywriting agencies to help you out with the copywriting task. This is crucial as it helps ensure credibility and quality in the assignment. Prior research on the company and the services they offer is very helpful. The company’s portfolio is also another factor that you can take a look at when deciding on which company to go for.

The Joy of Copywriting

Copywriting can be challenging and stressful at times but nothing beats making an impact and having people understand your copy at the end of the day.

Albeit having a lot of things involved such as tons of research, brainstorming and editing, these are the reasons why copywriting can be so much fun!

Many might think that copywriting is too much of a hassle and that it takes up too much time. However, having the freedom to create something creative and unique for your client is an adventure itself. From playing with words to get that perfect tagline to choosing the right visuals to have that extra ‘oomph’ to your copy, it is indeed fun to explore and play around with all sorts of ideas when doing up the copy.

The most challenging yet exciting and happening ones are those that we have to work with a word limit. The anticipation of whether you are able to fulfill the client’s request yet appeal to the target audience all at the same time makes it much more exhilarating.

So…………… how bout some copywriting tasks huh? 😉

Copywriting 101

#1 Ensure your headline holds value
Just like many others, we often refer to the headline of a copy first before reading the rest. This is the reason why such great emphasis is put in creating an attention grabbing headline that works for our target audience.

As quoted from David Ogilvy, “On the average, five times as many people read the headline as read the body copy.”

#2 Knowing what to put in your copy
It is important to ensure that you do not include too much….. or too little as well. Picking out the main points that you want to bring across to your target audience helps in determining what exactly you need in your copy. If elaboration is needed to emphasize your points, be careful not to write too much in an entire paragraph as readers mostly prefer straight and direct copies.

Fika Cafe! Perfect place to indulge in Swedish cuisine.

Even though it was a tough and busy day on the 27th of February, it was “computer’s off” at 6pm sharp as we made our way to Millenia Walk for our company dinner.

Having decided to change our palate this time round, we opted to have our dinner at Fika Cafe where mostly Swedish food are served. It was certainly a first time for everyone and we were all geared up to have a taste of what Fika Cafe is all about.

After stepping inside, we felt right at home with the homely deco and simplicity of the entire cafe. Filled with neutral colors with just the right amount of neon in certain areas, the atmosphere was truly a welcoming one as we made our way inside.

Advertisements are just untruths packed in beautiful confusing lingo?

More often than not, you find yourselves wondering if advertisements reflect 100% truth or otherwise.

Rather than settling on that statement, the way I see it, advertisements are a mix of truths and exaggerations at the same time. Confused?

With most advertisements created with stunning and unique visuals to grab the attention of many, exaggerations are often used to bring out a stronger and more impactful message.

I find it a bit extreme to declare that advertisements are solely based on untruths as no advertisements can survive with just lies.

It is also important to ensure the messages you want to bring across are reflected by concrete proofs, especially so if you are promoting a product. That said, I shall let the pictures below do the talking.
